If Jewish people can be right with God apart from Christ, then Christ died for nothing (Galatians 2:21). Paul says there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), with no exceptions for ethnicity. By telling Jewish people they are already secure in a separate covenant, Christian Zionism denies them the very Gospel that saves them. It is anti-evangelism dressed up as alliance.

You are right that Genesis 15 is an unconditional royal grant: God passes through the animal pieces alone, taking the covenant curses upon Himself. But Christian Zionists entirely miss who the covenant is actually with. Galatians 3:16 destroys their entire framework: "The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed... and that seed is Christ." The unconditional promise was never made to a secular, Christ-rejecting nation-state. It was made to Abraham and his ultimate Seed, Jesus. Therefore the inheritance belongs to Christ; by extension, it belongs to His Body, the Church; the covenant is not void, it is fulfilled in the Messiah. God kept His unconditional promise at Calvary, where He was torn apart like those animals to secure a global, spiritual inheritance. Demanding an earthly real-estate grant after the King has already paid the ultimate covenantal price is to declare the cross was not enough.
Read the whole chapter. The "remnant" of Israel is saved through faith in Christ (Romans 11:5), just like the Gentiles. There is no separate track. "All Israel will be saved" (Romans 11:26) happens when they accept the Messiah, not when they get a seat at the UN.
Christian Zionists often point to Deuteronomy 32:8 in the Masoretic Text to claim that God fixed the boundaries of all nations according to the number of the 'sons of Israel' (libnei yisrael), proving the eternal territorial centrality of physical Israel. This is a late, anti-polytheistic rabbinic alteration designed to erase the divine council cosmology of the ancient scriptures. The "you" is Abraham. Paul clarifies in Galatians 3:16 that the ultimate "offspring" is Christ, and the blessing flows through Jesus to all nations. Funding a military is not what this verse means. Blessing Israel means sharing the Gospel with them.

Christian Zionism:
- Takes a kingdom Jesus said is not of this world and makes it a nation-state.
